EnviroChic Design Art Classes in your Home!
These days, many families are so overwhelmed with work, family appointments, our children’s sport activities and keeping everything well-balanced and organized, that we feel like we don’t have the time to nurture our creative children’s needs and talents and how important creativity will continue to be throughout their lives.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
Take advantage of no-hassle creative art classes for your children with lessons given in your own home at your convenience. Get your weekly cleaning done, or better yet, catch up on your latest T.V. show that you saved the night before while your child is exploring their innate creativity and having fun in their most comfortable environment!
The artist’s world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep.
Local west-end Ottawa artist, Laura Daub of EnviroChic Design is now offering the following innovative art classes that can be taken alone as private lessons or have a few friends join in!:
- Ages: 4 – 6
- Mixed Media for the Budding Artist: Children’s Book Illustrations!
- Children will discover the world of drawing, mixed-media painting, plasticine art and collage by studying some of the most popular children’s books, from Eric Carle’s Hungry Caterpillar, to Barbara Reid’s plasticine art to Lauren Child’s Charlie and Lola series of books and more!
- Ages: 7 - 9
- Mixed Media for the Budding Artist: I’m an Illustrator!
- Children will discover the world of drawing, mixed-media painting, plasticine art and collage by studying some of the most popular illustrators geared towards older children, from Jeffrey Fulvimari’s very trendy sharpie art illustrations in Madonna’s English Roses book to anime art and more!
- Ages: 10 - 12 (or 13 – 15)
- Fashion Design Illustration for Tweens (or Teens)
- Fashion Illustration students will learn how to draw stylized, proportional fashion figures and how to sketch their creative designs on illustration board. Classes will focus on illustrating realistic looking textiles and their draping using a variety of artistic mediums. Students will also be able learn (and share) all about today’s current teen styles.
All courses consist of 8 classes – 75 minute classes each week and will be scheduled at your convenience. Each course is $256 per student – all supplies for in-class work are included and will be brought to your home each week. 10% discounts are available per student for 2 or more participants. Students will end the course with 4 or more works of art on illustration board!
A kitchen or dining room table with a plastic table cloth is the perfect place for lessons. Children should wear comfortable clothes to get messy in! Please note: Art aprons are considered très chic for all EnviroChic classes.

Guess What??? All EnviroChic Design courses can also be tailored for your child’s birthday party in your own home! If you’re tired of the same old thing and looking for something new and innovative, these short and creative classes will keep the group busy and having a great time all while learning about art!
